Art and aesthetics. This is my first and foremost interest. I am a huge fan of various visual design styles and illustrations. Even as someone who doesn't draw, I just love all the pretty art that is out there throughout each era. Aesthetics in particular on sites like the Aesthetics Fandom Wiki or CARI short for the Consumer Aesthetics Research Institute on both its main site and the site are.na. I also love Vibes and old photos in decades past, as well as very specific aesthetics that are very niche and not as well known as ones like Frutiger Aero and Vaporwave. My Instagram pretty much sums up this interest.
Books, writing stories, world-building, poetry, and the English language. I have always loved to write ever since I was very young if you couldn't tell by now. I love to write a lot about my interests which I primarily post to Instagram but I also watch a lot of YouTube video essays for some interesting stuff and intellectual discussion. I used to write a lot of poetry when I was depressed and my mental well being was not good but I no longer write any of that though you can find my poems on my Wattpad. My Dad loved D&D Dragonlance books and Dragon magazines which I was inspired to create my own story. I had this idea of a Sci-Fi Fantasy fusion book titled The Prodigy Universe which was set in a Futuristic Utopia world starring the titular Protagonist Amari as the alias Prodigy Xevious who was a Cyborg Knight and an Engineer who could build various machines like Mechas Swords Guns Robots and other cool ass stuff, with badass armor and a technical arm. He came from a distant planet and landed on Earth, and he was a Hero Warrior Samurai who fought for where he lived and was a bright symbol for the city and beyond. He had a Sidekick named Larry who was named after my real life imaginary friend, and he would be a part of a Team of school friends including his love interest named Naomi where they would go on adventures. The main Antagonist is named Leon Night-Shadow who was a Trenchoat wearing Edgelord Incel Far-Right Fascist who cared about nothing but power and control at the expense of entire people. He was a CEO of a company and had his own office full of employees who worked for him full of different species including Aliens Ninjas Assassins Hackers and Anansi creatures, eventually forming an entire empire based on Propaganda and an Ideology full of hate to minorities. There was also a Golem Guardian named Unity Warden, a Goddess of Water named Silent Tsunami, a Kitsune named Minori, and Ancient Civilizations along with Heaven and Spirituality which is where the Fantasy parts come in. There would be a ton of high-octane action, thrills, and battles as the opposing forces Prodigy and Leon fought with their superpowers. Despite this being such cool ideas I never really worked on writing my novel as a lot of life got in the way and I focused on other stuff like school and finding employment. But I dreamed of like sitting at panels at various conventions and getting an Anime adaptation an RPG game and other merchandise media. That is only ideas, as I am merely an anonymous person on the Internet as of right now. But I have a lot of fun with this nonetheless.
Japanese pop culture such as anime, manga, video games, and technology, as well as Western pop culture as well in some areas like comics and movies. I am a huge nerd and I love all the media franchises out there. I am a Comic Video Game Anime nerd full stop. Lots of Japanese weeb stuff but plenty of American stuff as well. Lots of Sci-fi and lots of Fantasy which should tell you everything. I was inspired by Comics like Superman and the Avengers and I was inspired by Anime and RPGs for the character Prodigy Xevious. My favorite Anime is The Disastrous Life of Saiki K which is the most hilarious and relatable show of all time, and my favorite movies are the action spy thrillers of the early 2000s and other eras that inspired the high octane fights as well as Leon's Office spaces where he worked. I love being a nerd so much and I love being around other fellow nerds because the media I engage with and the people I've met through these fandoms make me so happy and I'll always be grateful for that.
Abstract art. This includes any forms of art or images that are distorted to be unrecognizable, or downright bizarre art that would mess you up or stick in your mind for a long time. It can be paintings, animation, photography, music, games, or just my dreams in sleep. This also applies to other different dimensions or universes like in that one episode of Family Guy.
Sarcastic/ironic humor. This applies to Gen Z or "21st century" humor in general, or dank/edgy memes that have many layers of irony that historians would find hard to understand. I am a meme expert and I frequently browse through various memes online that are for sleuths who lurk here.
Landscapes. I am a big fan of landscape photography and art as I have loved to walk outside especially in the nighttime by myself. So I have come to love landscapes as a result and I post a lot of them on my Instagram. This is especially true for Liminal Spaces that I have grown more fond of over time even though the trend died out and is no longer relevant in online culture.
A variety of art styles, aesthetics, and influences such as: relaxing music, ASMR, Buddhism, places like forests, swamps and jungles, various tribes and cultures, chinese oriental festivals and music, general sci-fi, cosmic horror, surrealism, Y2K, metalheart, dark frutiger aero, steampunk, cyberpunk, industrial factories, retrowave, corporate grunge, goth, noir, neon, vectorheart, concept art of fictional landscapes, and outer space.
Anything that is weird, surreal, odd, strange, bizarre, and abnormal. These include ARGs or web series on YouTube, digital psychedelic art, experimental music genres, Xpiritualism, mysterious stories with little info on them but are very interesting, surreal designs, memes, individual online blogs/websites where the author writes their thoughts, obscure japanese-only video games, and other stuff that would make normies feel distraught and confused.
Music. I have quite a lot of favorite music genres. For chill and melodic ones, I like ambient, dark ambient, vaporwave, futurepop, synthwave, glitch hop, drone, trance metal, electronicore, chinese oriental, soft piano, shoegaze, classical, math rock, psytrance, dark psytrance, sextrance, ambient techno, future funk, j-core, hexd, hardvapour, trip hop, tribal house, witch house, electro house, complextro, colour bass, melodic dubstep, future riddim, hardwave, atmospheric drum and bass, liquid drum and bass, techstep, idm, old school dubstep, future bass, artcore, future core, and progressive trance. For heavy and hardcore ones I like brostep, deathstep, tearout, minatory, hardstyle, rawstyle, gabber, digital hardcore, industrial rock/metal, cyber metal, noise rock, grindcore, industrial techno, industrial hardcore, hard techno, schranz, electro industrial, dark electro, ebm, aggrotech, breakcore, speedcore, extratone, neurofunk, darkstep, hyperpop, dariacore, deconstructed club, deathcore, metalcore, gothic rock/metal, visual kei, emo, screamo, grunge, alternative, punk, hardcore punk, crust punk, burning spirits, d-beat, death trap, festival trap, phonk, nerdcore rap, industrial hip hop, otacore, and trap metal.
Very obscure cultures and languages in parts of Asia and the middle east, as well as the religions and belief systems they follow. These are very interesting to learn about. Some of my favorites are the Chinese dynasties, Mandaeism, the Jewish Kabbalah, and the stories in the Old Testament that are very sacred and ancient. I also generally love aesthetics of Eastern cultures like ones in China that have fascinated me for quite a long time.
My love for Eastern Asian Religions. These include: Taoic religions or East Asian religions such as Confucianism, Taoism, Tengrism, Korean shamanism, Chinese folk religions, and Shinto, Dharmic religions or Indian religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, and Jainism, and Southeast Asian religions such as Kejawen and Vietnamese folk religions.
Studying spirituality. As an extension of those topics above, this is a general love for the overall realms of Spirituality that are a huge part of our life's journey. This includes a positive mindset, mindfulness, continuing to mature, be responsible, practicing good virtues, living in every moment, living for a deeper meaning, and finding yourself in terms of reflection, identity, and understanding of who you are so you can be and express yourself in its entirety. I am a also big fan of various spiritual aesthetics as well like fractals, symbols, sacred geometry, and trippy psychedelic art and visuals from LSD and shrooms.
The psyche and what goes on in the mind, as well as some Psychology. I am fascinated with what goes in in the human mind. I love to speculate on inner mechanisms that shape our personality and our essence, as well as how our minds work in general and how we deal with certain problems in our culture. As a fellow Neurodivergent this is especially a topic I am interested in.
